Dr Abdulla Shareef, PhD is a mathematician and physicist by training. With a passion for learning and teaching he is a natural teacher trying to apply natural strategies into the teaching of Mathematics and Physics.

Abdulla Shareef was born in S. Meedhoo, Maldives. He completed his primary education from Meedhoo School. In 1987 he moved to Male' to complete his secondary education at English Preparatory and Secondary School and at Centre for Higher Secondary Education (then Science Education Centre). Shareef was a top student and was considered to be bright. He was the ninth among the Maldivian National Top Tens in the GCE Advanced Level in 1992. In 1999 he received his opportunity to continue his studies in the UK as a result of a Bandos Island Resort scholarship.

Shareef received a B.Sc. degree with First Class Honours in Mathematics and Physics in 2002 from King's College London. During his degree, every year he achieved the best results and received an award from the University. He was awarded his PhD by the Department of Physics at King�s College London in April 2007 for his research in Solid State Physics. He is now working as the Head of Physics at London Brookes College, an independent sixth form college in London. He is an examiner with OCR for GCSE Physics, GCE Physics and GCE Mathematics. He has also worked with Edexcel as an examiner for GCE Advanced Level Mathematics (Statistics).
